Running With Angels

One of the Dungbeetle's Grizzly poems for 2006.

Letting go of reason
  catching sight of angels
  aching for a vision
  making peace with demons.

Run with utter freedom
run with passion through the seasons
  Be what you believe in.

Track the path of ancient knowledge
  whose timelessness is hidden
  in thicket and in crevice
  in the mire of subterfuge
in the ramblings of the Muse.

Just run
just run until the view is crystal clear
until your angels are so near
that they are the smile you wear
  and your spaciousness of heart
  comes a-welling, comes a-swelling
  from the spring of fearlessness
  refreshing all the aching parts
  drying sentimental tears
  making healing magic
out of all those fractured years.
