Otter Rail & River Run 10k

10k and Fun Run
A scenic off-road 10km starting and finishing on the village playing field in Tipton St John, following public footpaths and rights of way. This run takes in the delights of the Otter Valley and is known for the great atmosphere (and puddles).
The event starts at 10.30am with the Jackie Box Fun Run of approx. 1 mile. The route is off-road but we suggest adults accompany kids under 8 as there are cows in the field. Prizes for all finishers.
Minimum age for the 10k is 15. All are welcome for the fun run.
The 10k starts at 11.00. The undulating route heads downstream alongside the River Otter, through Harpford woods, along the old Sidmouth railway line, back towards Tipton, through fields out to Fluxton and along tracks to the village.
The run was first held in 2007 to mark the 40th anniversary of Tipton St John playing field.
This event is organised by Tipton St John Playing Field Association in conjunction with Sidmouth Running Club. It is held under ARC rules. Otter Brewery beer for every finisher of the 10k.
