Axe Valley Runners
We are following advice issued by England Athletics re coronavirus and social distancing. See the latest guidance at https://www.englandathletics.org/athletics-and-running/news/coronavirus-statement/
Regrettably, there will be no further club runs or races until further notice. We are also asking all members to run on their own (or in small family groups) and not to run socially with other club members until restrictions are eased.
Keep up the running, stay fit, stay safe!
Welcome to Axe Valley Runners' website. We used to be "the little club with the big feets" but we're not so little now, having about 200 members.
Our homebase is Seaton in East Devon but many of our members hail from the surrounding area including Beer, Axminster and West Dorset.
We cater for a wide range of abilities (10K times from 31 minutes to well over an hour) and ages (juniors 11-16 up to some members being in their seventies).
Many charities have benefitted from our events over the years with the Grizzly in particular supporting a wide range of charities, mainly local, and currently averaging about £30,000 each year. Many of our other events are organised in collaboration with local village communities in order to raise money for them.
